Producers' Workshop
Program Agenda

Day one of the workshop will provide producers an introduction to the factors involved in dairy profitability, followed by a visit to a case study farm for a hands-on demonstration about how to use DairyPRAT. On day two, after producers have had a chance to use the tool with their own farm data, there will be opportunity for discussion of “next steps” they can take. The focus will be on teaching producers how to customize their own action plan to achieve better profitability in their dairy operations.

DAY 1

9:00 a.m.	Registration

10:00	Assess your “risk” for low profitability Key financial factors for profitability Overview of the DairyPRAT
11:00	Presentation of case farm data over lunch
11:45	Depart for visit of case farm
2:15 p.m.	Return to meeting facility
2:30	Discussion among all participants
3:00	Assignment of homework and wrap up
3:30	Adjourn

DAY 2

9:15 a.m.	Reconvene and review of DairyPRAT findings from case farm
10:15	Question and answer session on case farm data
10:45	Break
11:00	Producers review their own farm data in small working groups
Noon	Lunch
12:45 p.m.	Discussion of individual farm data
1:45	Develop individual action plan
2:15	Wrap up
2:30	Adjourn
